About the Author
I’m Dan Adams. I tell stories, work with wood, and have an unreasonable fondness for a good tall tale (or a bad dad joke, depending on who you ask). After years of carving hardwood and building furniture that occasionally developed more “character” than planned, I decided to try carving with words instead. That’s how Buffalo Bill and the Veil of Shadows came to life, a mix of folklore, history, and a dash of the eerie.
I live in upstate New York, where the trees are tall, the winters are long, and the air smells like woodsmoke in October. My wife, Amy, and I keep ourselves busy with our two granddaughters, who are experts in giggling, storytelling, and making sure life never gets dull. Around here, it’s not unusual to hear about a princess who owns a pet dragon or a werewolf who prefers ballet to howling.
When we’re not wrapped up in family mischief, Amy and I like wandering backroads looking for fresh peaches, raw honey, and whatever handmade treasures we can find. If you ever have a question, a thought about the book, or a good story of your own, I’d be glad to hear from you..
