About the Author

I’m Dan Adams, storyteller, woodworker, and lifelong collector of tall tales (and a good dad joke or two). After years of carving hardwood and building lopsided furniture, I’ve turned my attention to carving words instead, blending folklore and history into Buffalo Bill and the Veil of Shadows. I live in upstate New York, where the woods still feel old enough to keep secrets.

When I’m not at the keyboard or in the workshop, you’ll find me with my wife, Amy, and our two granddaughters, being silly, telling stories about princesses and ballet-dancing werewolves, and laughing until we cry. Amy and I also love wandering the backroads, hunting for farm stands that offer fresh fruit, raw honey, or handmade treasures.
